Evan A Bordt, Ph.D.

Evan received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in the lab of Dr. Brian Polster. He then performed his postdoctoral studies in Dr. Staci Bilbo’s lab at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The Bordt lab opened in the spring of 2022 in the Lurie Center for Autism at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

  • Indra Bishnoi

    POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

    Indra received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience and B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Western University. She is incredibly passionate about understanding the sexually dimorphic roles of environmental stressors (such as pathogens and deprivation) in brain and behavioral development. Outside of the lab, Indra actively contributes to climate action. She also enjoys spending time in nature, staying active with yoga, and painting.

  • Haley Moya

    LAB MANAGER

    Haley graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from California State University San Marcos. She has been working in the field of neuroscience since 2013 with experience in behavioral neuroscience, neuroendocrinology, and neuroimmunology. In her free time, she enjoys movies and video games and runs a small business, Macaronology, with research technician Izzy Bankowski.

  • Izzy Bankowski

    RESEARCH TECHNICIAN

    Izzy is a recent graduate of Northeastern University with a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience with future plans to apply to Medical School. She wrote her Honors Thesis with Dr. Marcy Kingsbury in collaboration with the lab of Dr. Staci Bilbo. Outside of the lab, she loves to read, bartend and is a co-founder of a local macaron bakery, Macaronology, with lab manager Haley Moya.

  • Maggie Slamin

    RESEARCH TECHNICIAN

    Maggie is a recent first-generation graduate of University of Massachusetts Boston with a B.S. in Biology. Within her time at UMass Boston, she worked as an undergraduate researcher for a regeneration lab focusing on axolotls run by Catherine McCusker. She has future plans to apply and attend Graduate School to earn a master's degree in a more specific subtopic of biology. In her free time she likes to try new food and new restaurants, paint, and travel.

  • Alejandra Navarro

    UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT

    Alejandra is an undergrad at Harvard College concentrating in Social Studies. She is pursuing the premedical track and is passionate about behavioral neuroscience and how cultural conceptions affect our perception of illness. Outside of the lab, she can be found at the Harvard radio station, reading a fantasy novel, and trying out new recipes with her friends.

  • Mallory McDaniel

    Mallory is an undergraduate at Harvard College concentrating in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology with a secondary in the History of Science. She has future plans of attending medical school and is interested in providing healthcare to medically underserved areas. Outside of the lab, she loves to try new coffee shops, read, and embroider.
